To enroll, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old, or
• Have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Our courses are designed for beginner Japanese learners.

Course details (schedule, instructor, price, and curriculum) are shown on the course page.

We reserve the right to make reasonable updates to lesson content when necessary to improve the learning experience.

• Full payment is required before your seat is reserved.
• Prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated.
• Payments are securely processed through Stripe.

All course purchases are final.

Because students receive access to lesson materials and recordings, no refunds will be provided after payment unless required by applicable law.

If Kind Japanese cancels a course before it begins, students will receive either:

• A full refund, or
• A transfer to the next available course.

Students are responsible for attending live classes.

If you cannot attend:

• Recordings will be provided when available.
• Missed classes are not refundable.
• Make-up lessons are not provided.

To support learning, live classes may be recorded.

By joining a live lesson, you acknowledge and agree that your:

• Name
• Voice
• Video
• Chat messages
• Screen sharing (if applicable)

may appear in the recording. Recordings are provided only to enrolled students for educational purposes.

Students may not:

• Download and redistribute recordings
• Upload recordings online
• Share recordings with non-enrolled persons
• Sell or commercially use any recordings

Kind Japanese may remove access to recordings at any time.

Course materials, including:

• Slides
• Videos
• PDFs
• Homework
• Worksheets
• Audio files
• Lesson recordings
• Website content

remain the intellectual property of Kind Japanese. Students may use materials only for personal learning.

Copying, sharing, selling, reproducing, translating, AI-training, or redistributing materials without written permission is prohibited.

Students agree to:

• Treat teachers and classmates respectfully.
• Participate appropriately.
• Avoid harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or disruptive behavior.
• Not record lessons independently without permission.

Kind Japanese may remove students who violate these rules without refund.

Students may receive access to our Discord server. Inside the community, students must:

• Respect other members.
• Avoid spam or advertising.
• Avoid inappropriate content.

Kind Japanese may remove users from Discord at its discretion.

Students are responsible for having:

• Stable internet connection
• Camera (recommended)
• Microphone
• Zoom installed
• Discord account

Technical issues on the student’s side do not qualify for refunds.

Kind Japanese may change:

• Teachers
• Lesson times
• Course schedules

when necessary due to illness, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances.

Whenever possible, students will receive advance notice.

Courses require a minimum number of students.

If the minimum enrollment is not reached, Kind Japanese may:

• Postpone the course,
• Merge students into another session, or
• Issue a full refund.

Kind Japanese is not responsible for:

• Internet outages
• Device failures
• Third-party platform interruptions (Zoom, Discord, Stripe)
• Loss of personal data caused by the student’s own devices

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the course.

We may collect:

• Name
• Email address
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe)
• Lesson attendance
• Discord username
• Homework submissions
• Course progress

We use this information only to:

• Provide lessons
• Process payments
• Improve our services
• Contact students

We do not sell personal information.

With your permission, Kind Japanese may use:

• Reviews
• Testimonials
• Screenshots
• Success stories

for promotional purposes.

We will never use your name or image publicly without your consent.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan.

Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Japan unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws.
